About us

The Whiz Kidz Story

Welcome to Whiz Kidz Preschool, when you join us, you’re joining a community, a school family. We are so much more than just childcare. We strive to create a safe place for children to grow and thrive; as well as offer parents the convenience of all-inclusive care and foster a place for parents to meet and create a support system to navigate parenting together.

What sets Whiz Kidz apart is that our play-based curriculum and environments are intentionally planned so that children are scaffolded into new learning opportunities. Our program considers the whole child, not just the mind. We do that by reciting our daily positive affirmations, gratitude prayer before meals, conscious discipline principles, social-emotional awareness, as well as including learning experiences, not just structured activities.

Our weekly enrichment classes include Gardening, Music, PE, Cooking, and Art/Tinkering, which offer ample opportunities for children to explore their own expression and creativity.

We are a family-owned and operated preschool, founded by Ms. Martha, a mom, and certified teacher. We are families serving families. Wanting to create a place not only for our founder’s children to thrive but others as well, Ms. Martha’s focus has always been ensuring our program and staff has a standard of quality and love a family environment offers. When she started in her home preschool in 2007, she had big dreams to serve many children and families. Now operating a multi-site preschool operation, with hundreds of children she continues to find ways to grow and offer our program to more families and filling a need for quality early childhood education in our communities across the valley.

Our team is carefully selected and trained to make Whiz Kidz Preschool the best place to be! Our training and support, team outings, and benefits we offer our staff is a step above the rest, ensuring that our team is strong and their needs are taken care of so that they can take care of our children’s needs.

We would love to meet you and your family, come see for yourself all we have to offer, schedule a personalized tour today!

It is my vision that each child that enters our schools, joins a community of children, families, and teachers. Engaging in the joy, curiosity, and wonder of childhood.

AS FEATURED ON

Quality first

Our Phoenix location is participating in Arizona’s Quality First Program. As we enter our third year of participation, we continue to improve our services to kids and families and work closely with specialists and professionals to reach very high benchmarks for our staff and management.

Empower Plus

We are also committed to motivating our children to eat right, stay physically fit, and being happy. As part of this commitment, our staff members receive ongoing training, support, and resources as part of our participation in Empower Plus. Our commitment also involves promoting family style dining, limiting sugar and high calorie foods, and offering fresh fruits and vegetables daily.

T.E.A.C.H.® Program

Our preschool collaborates with outside programs to improve our services to kids and families. All of our locations participate in the T.E.A.C.H. program which is an initiative to increase the professional qualifications of early education teachers. We support our teachers by encouraging them to continue their education, reimbursing them for school tuition and costs, and sponsoring them in Arizona’s T.E.A.C.H. program.

A.E.C.E.A.® Program

The Arizona Early Childhood Education Association is a non-profit organization that includes professional licensed proprietary and non-profit child care centers statewide. Our members provide care for infants and toddlers, preschool programs, and before and after school programs. Arizona families rely on AECEA child care centers for programs that meet the needs of working parents, promote child development and prepare children for success in school, and provide safe and structured out of school time support programs for school age children.
