Welcome to Whiz Kidz Preschool’s nutrition page!

We are delighted to share some exciting news about our food, nutrition, and meals. We have recently partnered with a local food and produce vendor to ensure that all the food we serve is sourced locally, supporting our commitment to providing the best for our students through our collaboration with Shamrock, we have established a strong relationship with a trusted food and produce milk and dairy. We had the privilege of visiting their local warehouse, where we personally witnessed the exceptional quality of their products. This experience further solidified our decision to partner with Shamrock. As a result, we are now in the process of organizing a special field trip for the children to explore Shamrock Farms’ dairy farms, where they will have the opportunity to see firsthand where their food comes from.

We are excited to share a picture from our visit to Shamrock’s warehouse, and we look forward to providing more photos after the upcoming field trip to the Shamrock Farms local dairy farm. Our partnership with Shamrock not only ensures that our students enjoy nutritious meals but also offers them an educational experience that highlights the journey of food from farm to table.

Whiz Kidz Preschool Meals & Nutrition Policy

Healthy & Balanced Meals

At Whiz Kidz preschool, we understand the importance of providing healthy and balanced meals to our young learners. That's why we follow the Child And Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) guidelines and adhere to the USDA child nutrition standards. We take pride in providing nutritious meals that help support the growth and development of our children. We offer two sets of 5-week rotating menus, which means that we provide 10 weeks of varied and delicious meals throughout the year. Our menus are seasonal, and we use fresh fruits and vegetables that are in season. During the winter and fall, we offer hearty and warm dishes such as soups and chilis to keep our students warm and satisfied.

Cultural

We understand that cultural dietary preferences and restrictions may vary among our families, so we offer vegetarian options for every meal. This ensures that all of our students can enjoy their meals without any compromise on their beliefs or preferences.

Please note that our menus are subject to change without notice. We strive to provide the best possible meals for our students, and sometimes we may need to make adjustments based on availability and other factors. However, rest assured that we will always provide delicious and nutritious meals to our preschoolers.

Allergies

We take allergies and dietary restrictions seriously. We are proud to offer a nut-free environment in all of our facilities, and we use Sun Butter as a substitute when needed. Our team understands the importance of accommodating most allergies, and we kindly request that no outside food is brought in to ensure the safety of our students.

All meals are prepared fresh every day by our team of expert cooks and nutrition specialists. We believe that providing fresh and healthy meals is crucial for the development and well-being of our young learners. Our dedicated staff puts a lot of effort into planning and preparing our menus, and we take pride in serving delicious and nutritious meals that our students love.
