I always knew I wanted to be a teacher but I never dreamt I’d be so lucky to be a teacher to so many! I feel so blessed that as a mother of 3 and wife, I can do what I love every day while also raising my family. Together with my husband Tom and our amazing team, we have worked to build Whiz Kidz for families like yours.
We truly understand the challenges and blessings it is to raise a family. When I’m not at a soccer game or driving around town for work or mom taxi, I enjoy reading, cooking, hiking and traveling!

Ms. Amanda
DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
Hi there! My name is Amanda and I have been working in early childhood for over 16 years in every role from assistant teacher to Director, to most recently helping open or transition schools around the country. I am new to Arizona and have enjoyed every mountain sunrise so far! I am originally from Connecticut but have been living on the beach in Virginia for the past two years. Living on the beach was great, but being here is where my heart is!

Hello, My Name is Ms. Nicole! I am the Program Director here at Whiz Kidz Preschools. I am married to my sweet husband Daniel, and we have 2 amazing children. I have been with Whiz Kidz since 2018 and have worked as both a Teacher and Administrator. I have 10 years of experience in Early Childhood and Youth Development. I started my career as a Pre-K Teacher for 2 years and then moved into non-profit and youth development work for 6 years. My son inspired me to get back into Early Childhood and I am so glad I did!

Ahwatukee Campus Director
Hi, I’m Theresa and I am the Director of our Ahwatukee Campus. I graduated in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree and soon began working in early childhood education. My journey started when I opened my own in-home childcare business, where I obtained national accreditation through the National Association for Family Child Care. After my husband retired from the Navy in 2014, our family returned to Phoenix and I had the opportunity to start working for Whiz Kidz Preschool, first as a Lead Teacher and now as a Director. I feel blessed to say I love my job, children are my passion, and working alongside teachers brings me great joy.

Mesa Campus Director
Hello! I’m Ms. Ryann, I have been working in early childhood education for over 10 years. I started out my journey in the early childhood world in the classrooms, I was a lead in the Infants, Ones, and Twos for about a year each. After that, I was offered the Assistant Director position and eventually ended up as their director. I am originally from Northwest Iowa and moved out to Arizona back in August of 2012. I also am a very proud Auntie of 4 nieces and 1 nephew. I have my Bachelor’s in Business Management and in Graphic Design and Media Art with a focus in Photography!

Hello, My name is Ms. Sophia and I am the Director at our Midtown location. I am a loving momma of 4 beautiful children.I have worked in this field since 2015. I am currently enrolled at CAC to further my knowledge in Education. I love getting to know all the families and continuing to serve the children here at Whiz Kidz.

I am originally from South Carolina and moved to Arizona in 2000, that is when I started my career in early childhood education. I have worked with children from birth to high school age both in private and in the school district setting.
I love being a part of the Whiz Kidz community. It is a wonderful, nurturing place and I so enjoy my time with the children and their families. There isn’t a day that goes by which does not include a hug, a silly story, and smiles that make every day special.
I enjoy cooking southern cuisine, bicycling, and most of all spending time with my husband, Chris.

Hello, my name is Ms. Andrea. I joined the Whiz Kidz Preschool family back in the beginning of 2020 and over the years I have been a lead teacher/co teacher in our infant and one year old classrooms. I moved to Arizona in summer of 2014 to attend GCU and graduated with my Bachelors degree in Psychology. I have been working in childcare for 5+ years! Children’s creative minds are always teaching us something new and making the days more enjoyable. In my free time I enjoy being outdoors and taking road trips with my growing family. I will soon be expecting my first baby girl in the beginning of August 2022.

Hello, my name is Ms.Yackeline. I am the Assistant Director of the Mesa location. I started working for Whiz Kidz in February 2021, I taught in the Aspens (3’s) class and soon after got the lead teacher position in Mighty Oaks (4’s). I love being in the classroom and will definitely miss it, but now I will get the chance to be in every class and work alongside every teacher. Being in a classroom taught me many different things,and they are now tools I can use to help my team. Outside of work, I love to try out different restaurants with my husband as well as watch movies and be with my family.

Hello, I'm the Scottsdale Campus Assistant Director at our Scottsdale campus! I started working for WhizKidz in June of 2019 as an infant teacher. I am originally from Chihuahua, Mexico and moved to Arizona as a young toddler. I have grown around children my entire life and found a passion in early childhood education. I am excited to continue my journey as an assistant and help teach children/ teachers and parents everything I can to help. My significant other and I have 3 children together and everyday is an adventure, they are my motivation to keep growing not only in my career path, but also as a mother and partner.

Salutations! My name is Oriana but I go by Ori. I am originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Before moving to Arizona I worked as a Summer Recreation Leader with children with special needs, which solidified my decision to work with children. There is a quote by Maya Angelou that states,“I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”, and I remember for as long as I can, that every teacher I have ever had, have helped me feel loved, apart of, and more than. I can only hope that I can pass that on wherever I go. I have been a part of the Whiz Kidz Family since 2017 and it has been a beautiful journey. I am currently attending school to obtain my degree in Early Childhood Education. Through these classes and experiences in this field, I have learned how important and special early ages are, working and helping develop an early brain is no easy task, but it is certainly a rewarding one.
